Cobira enables KMD as IoT MVNO
KMD currently develops and delivers software and service solutions to the municipal, state and business segments in Denmark. With Cobira's IoT connectivity platform, KMD has a strong foundation for delivering full-fledged IoT solutions on top of their existing services.
Case
KMD A/S is Denmark´s largest System Integrator and is owned by Japanese IT and Technology giant NEC.
IoT is an important part of KMD’s strategy going forward and KMD will focus on using IoT to optimize and enhance the value of their existing solutions and IT-services
With Cobira’s solution, KMD has full control over the cellular connectivity and is able to integrate and secure the edge to cloud communication at a much more coherent level.
Solution
Cobira enables KMD with a multilevel, multi-tenant and white-labelled MVNE (Mobile Virtual Network Enabler) platform in which KMD will have the complete control to design and setup connectivity services from case to case.
Cobira currently holds 14 roaming agreements with different Operators globally and in total, this adds up to more than 3700 bilateral operator network agreements. This enables Cobira with mobile network redundancy in almost all countries worldwide and the ability to deliver mission-critical Industrial IoT connectivity.
Further features such as security features, GPSless geo-location, signal strength, eSIM functionality, and many more can be added.
How is Cobira helping KMD
Cobira’s platform has enabled KMD as MVNO and puts them in a position to manage a key part of the IoT Solution span. With the extensive coverage and the level of control of the mobile data traffic, Cobira can support the full range of cellular IoT connectivity technologies including Cat-M & NB-IoT.
KMD offers primarily solutions in Denmark but has plans to expand to other European markets and Cobira´s platform is ideal to support this growth plan. The Cobira platform is offered as a value-added software service (SaaS) for MVNOs and Resellers allowing them to easily onboard and manage their customers in a multi-tenanted environment. The platform is a global platform in the sense it is equally ready to support business cases globally as in Denmark.
